How do I renew my prescription?

As with any medical treatment, a pharmacy can only dispense a treatment when you have a valid prescription. This means, you will have to renew your prescription when you run out of repeats.

As with all doctors, your prescribing practitioner can only issue you a certain number of repeats on your prescription. This is at their discretion. When you run out of repeats on your prescription, you will need to renew it. This is how it works:

  1. How long until I have to renew? Generally, a single prescription is enough to last you one month, however your prescribing practitioner may decide (at their discretion) to issue you repeat prescriptions.
  2. How will I know when to renew? When you are close to running out of repeats, we will notify you via email and SMS to check in with your practitioner to update your prescription. This may lead to a new prescription of the same treatment (more repeats) or a change in treatment, depending on how you are progressing.
  3. How do I renew? We aim to make this process as convenient as possible. You will receive a link to log on to your Mosh user portal. From here, you will see a notification to renew your script.
    1. Click through to complete the short quiz (or you can opt to book in for a telehealth consult if that is more convenient for you). The answers you provide help your practitioner to check in on your progress and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
    2. Your progress will be reviewed by a health practitioner. If your treatment needs to be adjusted, this is when the practitioner will make any necessary changes.  If your treatment requires adjustment, you will need to consent to this in your portal before a prescription can be written.
    3. If there are no follow up questions or a modification in treatment, the practitioner will then write a new script, and the pharmacy will be notified to dispense the treatment. The treatment will be picked up by a delivery partner and delivered to your door.
    4. If there are follow up questions or a change in treatment, you will need to log onto your portal to respond to your health practitioner and/or accept the changes proposed to your treatment plan.
  4. When do I have to renew by? To be safe, we recommend you complete your renewal as soon as you receive a notification from us. This is to allow enough time for your health practitioner to conduct your renewal assessment, your pharmacy to dispense the treatment, and your delivery to arrive. Because the pharmacy won't be able to dispense treatment without a valid script, it is important that you complete your renewal quiz as soon as possible to maintain continuity of treatment.
